Planning and supervision of the construction of a 51 kilometre, double-track high-speed line from Taipei airport to Taipei's main rail station as a slab track (type Rheda 2000). Eiffage Rail was responsible for procuring all track construction materials for the general contractor.
Eiffage Rail already worked in Taiwan from 2002 to 2005. building a section of the Taiwan High Speed Rail, a 345-kilometre-long high-speed line that goes from Taipei to Kaohsiung. Eiffage Rail installed the slab track system Sonneville LVT and Rheda 2000. The client was the operator of the $18-billion (USD) project, Taiwan High Speed Rail Corporation. The contract volume for Eiffage Rail was EUR 206 million.
